Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous for the films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her movie Piano earned her an Oscar. Her career in acting started with Broadway through a myriad of Broadway and Off Broadway initiatives. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th year production. Mumps made her lose hearing in one her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from following her dreams. As a young woman she studied drama in college before moving to New York City from Pittsburgh so that she could follow her dreams. Through a random encounter, she became trapped in an elevator along with writer Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart and became Hunter's debut. Her first film role came when she moved in Los Angeles. She has since appeared in numerous films and TV movies and series in a long career that spans over three decades. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
